Thanks for listening!
I sent this email to storywonk. Not sure you got it:
Dear Alastair:
I want to let you know that I just recently discovered your Dear Mr Potter podcasts and have been really enjoying them a great deal. I appreciate your insights. What brings me to write this email were your thoughts at the last 10 minutes of your second session of the Chamber of Secrets: OPPOSITION. I have always had a problem with understanding why Dobby tried to prevent Harry from going to school, why Lucius gave the diary to Ginny and how was Dobby even aware of Lucius’ plans. THANK YOU! I have waited almost 20 years for someone to explain this to me.
I had also a comment about one of your last sessions of Philosopher’s Stone (but you have now addressed this in your Chamber of Secrets sessions):
I don’t think wizards are preoccupied with medievalism; I think because of magic they are stuck in that time. Muggles HAD to develop technologies because they do not have magic. Wizards are stuck in the past because they do need to come up with more efficient ways of doing things and as a result they will be left behind. Look how long it took them to figure out who Nicholas Flamel was. A Muggle can do it in a minute now through Google.
Thank you so much for the lectures. Love them.
