  • Yay! Except isn't The Guardian mistaken here: "The story follows one of the Noldor, Tuor, who sets out to find Gondolin" but correct when it continues: "When Tuor arrives in Gondolin, he becomes a great man and the father of Eärendel, an important character in Tolkien’s The Silmarillion" (my emphases)? Tradition has it that Tuor is ultimately counted among the Elves, but had he been "one of the Noldor," then he would not need "to find Gondolin," nor would Eärendel have his unique lineage.
