Thanks for listening!
I’m reading the Harry Potter series with my younger daughter, and we’re currently on Azkaban, so the timing is perfect (and it’s so fun for me to read it again).
About last week’s discussion and the role of Percy…. I see him as withdrawing or rebelling from the Weasley’s by not sharing their utter lack of concern with conventionality or appearances. He strives to achieve every type of recognition and award that proves his worthiness by conventional standards (in the Wizarding world). I see him as the Dursley-est of the wizard characters – he just wants everyone to think he’s normal and has a normal family, within his own context.
